Campaigns allow you to cross-reference your Segmentation Strategies with your previously configured Channels and assign the appropriate segments to your connected data sources. Campaigns also give you an overview of how your segments can be split across your Channels for more efficient communication.
🚨 If you haven’t set up a Segmentation Strategy or configured your Channels, please do so before creating your Campaign.
1. Choosing a Name and Description
Your naming conventions should be consistent and the Description should provide context as to the the Campaign's purpose.
2. Assign a Segmentation Strategy
Select the Segmentation Strategy for this Campaign. If you haven’t configured one, please do so before continuing with your Campaign setup 👉 Segmentation Strategy
3. Define your Channels
Select the Channels and Languages you want to use for your Campaign. If you haven’t configured your Channels, please do so before continuing with your Campaign setup 👉 Channels.
4. Linking to External Systems (datasources)
Select Add System Interactions to link an external system and synchronize your Campaign Structure
Select the System, and Entity you want to interact with
Add a Label and color to easily identify your linked external systems
5. Assigning data
Once you have configured an external system, the segments that you created in your Segmentation Strategy will be split across your configured Channels. Pills will appear at the intersections of the segments and channels. You can use this pills to assign data to at those intersections.
Once you select one of the pills at a specific intersection, you be able to assign data at to that system at that intersection.
The top of this component indicates the channel & segment you are assigning to.
The systems are indicated just underneath, you can seamlessly switch between them.
Once you've assigned all the data you want, select confirm to save.
6. Locking your Campaign Structure
Locking your Campaign Structure is required before pushing your assigned data to your external system. If you need to assign a different Segmentation Strategy, or add a Channel, you will need to unlock the Campaign Structure.
7. Pushing to External Systems
Once you have completed all your data assignments, you can push the data to your external systems.
By pushing data to your external system, you're adding a constituent appeal on each constituent that is part of the selected groups you have define for your segmentation.
There are three possible states of assigned data:
Not Configured
Configured
Pushed
Assigned fields can be pushed to external systems at the following levels:
System Level: You can push from the system level using the component below. This will push all of the configured intersections for that system. It's a quick way to push everything in bulk.
Channel Level: You can push from the channel level using the meatball menu located next to the channel label. This will push everything that has been configured for that specific channel. It's useful in that case if you need to use this data quickly and before another channel.
Segment Level: You can push from the segment level using the meatball menu located on the complete right of the segment. This will push everything that has been configured for that specific segment. Useful if you need to work with this segment first (example : sending a communication).
Intersection Level: You can push from the intersection level by selecting the pill you want to push, and clicking Push Data. This will push everything that has been configured at that specific intersection, for that specific system.
