π¨ If you haven't setup a segmentation strategy or configured your channels, please do so before continuing with a campaign.
1. Choosing a name & description
The first step is to choose a name and description for your campaign.
It's important to establish a good naming convention in order to facilitate cohesion and understanding within your team. The description should provide more insight for team members regarding the purpose of the campaign.
2. Assign a segmentation strategy
This is where you will select which segmentation strategy you want to use for this campaign. You should have already configured a segmentation strategy before reaching this step. Otherwise, you can create a new segmentation strategy and follow the instructions in the documentation.
3. Define your channels
This is where you will select which channels & languages you want to use for this campaign. Just like segmentation, these channels & languages should have already been configured in the channel settings.
4. Locking your campaign structure
Once you have assigned a segmentation strategy & defined your channels, we recommend that you lock the campaign structure. This will snapshot the results from the segmentation data crossed with the channels.
If you need to assign a different segmentation strategy, or add a channel, you will need to unlock the campaign structure.
Locking is required to be able to push data to external systems such as Raiser's Edge NXT.
5. Selecting & configuring your systems
This is where you will select which systems you want to sync your data with. During the BETA, Raiser's Edge NXT will be the only system available for synchronization.
Select Add System Interactions to add a external new system to synchronize with.
Select the system and entity that you want to synchronize with.
Customize the label if you'd like. This will be displayed on the campaign page.
Select a color in order help you identify this system on the campaign page.
Advanced settings are not available in current version.
Current version only supports sync with Raiser's Edge β Constituent Appeals
Please note that a system will no longer be configurable if data has been pushed to that system.
Notice the lock icon on the left of the system label.
If you want to edit a locked system, you must unpush all the data from that system using the meatball menu on the top right of the card.
6. Assigning to fields
Once you have setup an external system, pills will appear at the intersections of segments & channels. You can use this pills to assign data to the fields of the respective system.
Once you select one of the pills at a specific intersection, you be able to assign data to each of the fields you configured in of this document.
The top of this component indicates the channel & segment you are assigning to.
The systems are indicated just underneath, you can seamlessly switch between systems by selecting the one you want here.
Once you've assigned all the fields you want, select confirm to save.
7. Pushing to external systems
Once you have completed all of the assignments to external systems that you need, you are now ready to push the data to those external systems.
Below is an image of the different possible states for assigning fields to external systems.
You can push the assigned fields to external systems at many levels. You can do it from the system level, all the way down to the intersection. Here are all the possible ways to push.
System Level: You can push from the system level using the component below. This will push all of the configured intersections for that system. It's a quick way to push everything in bulk.
Channel Level: You can push from the channel level using the meatball menu located next to the channel label. This will push everything that has been configured for that specific channel.
Segment Level: You can push from the segment level using the meatball menu located on the complete right of the segment. This will push everything that has been configured for that specific segment.
Intersection Level: You can push from the intersection level by selecting the pill you want to push, and clicking Push Data. This will push everything that has been configured at that specific intersection, for that specific system.
