Channels allow you to set the rules of communication with your constituents.

1. Select Channel Type and Label

Label your channel so you can easily identify and use it in your Campaigns.

  1. Select the Channel Type using the drop down menu. The Channel Type is simply an icon used to identify the channel.

  2. Add a Label using the text field. Labels should be short but descriptive. For example, Email Newsletter or Email Solicitation.

2. Add Inclusions and Exclusions for a Channels

Define the rules for your channel. Inclusions are used to add constituents, exclusions will remove them.

An inclusion is a criteria we want the constituent to be part of (to tag them).

An exclusion is a criteria we don't want the constituent to be part of (to tag them).

  1. Click the Add Inclusion button, to include a list of constituents from your external system.

  2. Click the Add Exclusion button to exclude a list of constituents.

  3. You can possible to add multiple Inclusions and Exclusions.

Inclusions and exclusions here are global to avoid repeating them in any other place. It really matters that you consider the inclusion and exclusions related to the channel itself.

Example : exclude "no phone" for the channel "Phone"
