Campaigns are used to assign information to your constituents in your CRM. Building a campaign cross-references your channels and segments defined in a segmentation, allowing you to set information to your constituents.

What You Need To Build a Campaign

A campaign is defined by three core components:

  1. Segmentation — Used in conjunction with channels to determine the constituents per channel in each segment.

  2. Channels — Define the communication groups that, when combined with segmentation, identify the constituents per channel in each segment.

  3. Systems — Tied to datasources and represent where information will be assigned to your constituents.

Assign Data

The assign data tab allows you to configure the information that will be applied to your constituents. Here, you will see intersections, which are cross-references between a segment and a channel.

Each intersection contains:

  1. Targeted constituents — The number of constituents who belong to both the segment and the channel.

  2. System Badges — Badges that let you set the information required to tag your constituents in your CRM. Each system added to a campaign generates a badge.

Set Data to System Badges

How you configure data for a system badge depends on the system. Once a badge is correctly configured, its border changes from dashed to solid and colored, confirming it is ready.

Review in Summary

The summary tab let's you visualize all the system badges configured. The summary is divided by systems and list's all the different data set in system badges with the addition of targeted constituents affected by the data.

System badges with identical data are grouped together and the sum of targeted constituents per channel is displayed.

Lock a Campaign

Locking a campaign creates a snapshot of the current numbers. This step is required before pushing data from system badges to your CRM. Use the lock switcher at the bottom-right corner of the screen to lock the campaign.

Refresh Calculations Before Locking

Before locking, you can refresh all calculations to ensure the latest numbers from your CRM are included. This recalculates the segmentation and channels in the campaign, which may take time depending on their complexity.

Unlock a Campaign

Unlocking a campaign removes its snapshot and returns it to a live state, meaning segmentation structures and numbers will reflect the most recent data.

Before Unlocking

This process is irreversible. Unlocking will also unpush any data previously pushed to your CRM.

Push Data

Pushing data writes (or tagging) information to constituents in your CRM. Only fully configured system badges can be pushed.

Pushing can be triggered in various ways:

  • Pushing a single System Badge.

  • Pushing all System Badges of a channel.

  • Pushing all System Badges of a Segment.

  • Pushing all System Badges of a System.

  • Pushing all System Badges.

Unpush Data

Unpushing data removes (or untagging) information from constituents in your CRM. It only applies to system badges that have already been pushed.

Unpushing can be triggered in various ways:

  • Unpushing a single System Badge.

  • Unpushing all System Badges of a channel.

  • Unpushing all System Badges of a Segment.

  • Unpushing all System Badges of a System.

Campaign Duplication

If you need a campaign with a similar structure to an existing one, you can duplicate it from the campaign dropdown. The new campaign will be created with “- Copy” appended to its name.
